Update News

These pages are best viewed with Netscape Navigator 3.01 or higher, will never, ever have frames and sound a heck of a lot nicer with an AWE32 or better. Being drunk wouldn't hurt either …

4th January 1999: Two updates for the price of one. My ailing dog ailed more and I had to put him down. Deep, deep suckage. I don't have much to say on the matter apart from 'Ow'. What I do have to say is on the Adrastus page.

20th October 1998: We've been watching the hits to these pages our end and … wow! If we get many more, Demon will be slapping us will a bill for a commercial web site! So, duly guilt-tripped into putting my efforts back into dodging HTML and trying to entertain the masses of deluded day-trippers to this end of the ether, I present the latest round of updates.

Demon very kindly gave us an extra 10 meg (ten, count em, ten!) to play with, so with a hitherto undreamed of excess of web space to frolic in, you can look forward to more goodies than ever before. I might even be moved to create a downloads section at some point, but you know how slow I go, so don't hold your breath or anything.

New Midi on the front page, which as most of you should know by now indicates some sort of change elsewhere as well. This one's from System Shock. Never played it? Shame on you. Loop, loop, loop.

'Writings' is now up and has something for you to look at once more. Hurroo! Sooner or later extracts from my current projects will put in an appearance there, not the least of which is a total gutting re-write of my first novel. Hopefully it will be less 'pants' this time around.

Provided I don't get distracted (ooh, shiny!) the links section should be given a right old seeing too soon, as I note that a lot of the links have … *sob* … died on me. Look out for a link to Sluggy Freelance, a most excellent comic strip pointed out to me by the wonderful Gadge.

Where have I been since the last update? Playing Quake and Quake2 a lot, gibbity-gib - look out for MetalDog getting fragged every five seconds and you'll have found me. Trying to sort out my religious life (you give that a whirl sometime, see what it does to your online presence), oh, the humanity! Worrying about my old and ailing dog. Such is life.

29th May 1998: Maddening new Midi on the main page; enjoy. Faint, nay, tentative sketching of the information needed on the Kama page begun.
7th February 1998: Nash's 'Treats' section is now up and, if not running, at least limping fairly well. Also in that section, the long awaited Zebedee uncovering.
4th February 1998: Okay, by dint of doing all my graphics on the unpicky machine and transferring by floppy, I've managed to make some progress. The Amber page is now looking nice again and all the links there work except the Baron Samedi one, which hasn't been written yet. I'm still working on all the offshoots of Nash's page, so you'll just have to hold your horses a little longer there. More pages have been given back-references to this page so that people who only visit specific areas know what the hey is going on - therefore I'm adding links between this waffle and the old update news so that people can get back to where they came from with relative ease, even if they don't have a back button - mind you, if you don't have a back button these graphically intensive pages probably look fairly shite on whatever the hell you're browsing with … Deadlands peeps will have to wait a shade longer as I'm way more behind on my other pages at the moment, but rest assured, they should be dealt with as soon as I've shifted the backlog a little. Hopefully All Midi HTML is now correct. Check back soon and there should be more changes.
3rd February 1998: Yes, there have been technical problems with both the page maintainer and the computer, hence the appalling delay between updates. While our network is still righteously screwed and the beast /still/ locks up altogether while I'm trying to fish through my fonts and tweak my gifs, I'm hoping to have it all fixed soon. You'll be pleased to hear that I myself am feeling tickidy-boo and while being a shade busier than previously, expect to be making major updates across the board soon.
The first thing, that really couldn't be delayed any further, will be a link to here from the Dead Lands pages and a means by which to contact the Marshall of our games.
Other changes: In Links; Graphics and Design - Brown Bag Graphics actually goes where it says it does, rather than to the Gif Pile. In Links; Special Interests - a new link to a System Shock page has been added.
Apologies for the delays, normal service will be resumed as soon as possible.
22nd November 1997: The Dead Lands page is currently the one being worked on, with the front ends for Tall Tales, the first two sets of Posse stats and Boot Hill being up and running. A fix on the Links: friends page for Gadge has finally been implemented. Canis tells me my MIDI code has a glitch and indeed it does - has been fixed on the main page, but I haven't trolled around and fixed it all yet.
7th November 1997: The links page is up and working with a great many of them in the friends section being of an AmberMUSH nature.
5th November 1997 : It would probably be quicker to tell you what hasn't changed, but here goes. Currently engaged in major facelift of all graphics and presentations of the pages. This is my first whirl at imagemaps. Live with it. Oh, the new front end just goes to show I've been getting way too involved with Dead Lands lately.
Updating the RPG section as extensively as possible, so expect some internal links to be sparse or dead as they're still being built. The writings section should have some new material soon. All external links should be current, or I'll know the reason why, dammit.
